Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ)
A Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) is an economically distressed area where new investments can get special tax benefits if certain conditions are met. You might be able to defer paying taxes on capital gains by reinvesting them into a QOZ fund or by doing a 1031 exchange after selling a real estate asset.
These deferred gains can be delayed for up to seven years, and you might even permanently eliminate up to 15% of the deferred gain from taxes if you meet the holding period requirements. Additionally, if you hold the qualified investment for 10 years, any gain on the subsequent sale can be completely tax-free.
InGame Enterprise professionals work closely with real estate syndicators and investment managers to help with these rollovers. We can guide you through the process of making a QOZ fund investment and connect you with our network of real estate experts.
